Hornsea RUFC Ladies have started pre-season training to prepare for their participation in the inaugural Yorkshire Development League. The League has been set up for new teams to play games to develop the skills required by their players to take part in a competitive league. At the beginning of each game, both teams agree on the number of players that each will field and whether to have uncontested scrums and line-outs etc.

The format of the league is perfect for new players aged 17 and over to the game. Following a successful Inner Warrior Camp in January 2018, the Holliswomen are holding a second camp on the 10th September to give anyone wishing to try rugby the opportunity. The evening is geared towards fun and fitness and is a great opportunity to meet the players, have a go at non-contact rugby whilst being coached by a fully-qualified England Rugby coach. No experience is necessary and you will never be asked to take part in tackling unless you want to.

The Camp is at 7 pm on the 10th September at the Hollis Recreation Ground, Westwood Avenue, Hornsea. If you feel like giving it a go, wear fitness clothes and training shoes and bring a bottle of water. Bring your best smile and be prepared to have some fun. There will be a glass of prosecco and nibbles in the Clubhouse afterwards, so that you can meet the team and ask any questions.
