The biggest weekend in the Hornsea Calendar is only a month away and this years Carnival promises to be as fun filled and entertaining as always.

This years Carnival Royals have been chosen and representing us this year are Carnival Queen Sara Taylor and Carnival Princes Ellie Girling. Sara is a local married mum of two who is looking forward to Carnival and showing all those mums that even though your parents to children you adore you still have your own identity. Ellie loves to sing & dance and enjoys painting and craft activities with her younger sisters. She is looking forward to carnival and helping out in anyway she can.

Our fabulous fireworks display will start proceedings on the evening Friday 20th. The parade will work its way though the streets of Hornsea on Saturday 21st taking its usual route and this years theme of Happy Holidays should hopefully produce some great looking entries.

Carnival Sunday 22nd is shaping up to be a real community day with the Hornsea Harriers Fun Run, The Big Community Tug of War Challenge and the Churches Together outdoor Service.

The committee have been working hard to bring you a variety of entertainment for all ages. This year there will be the usual mix of live arena acts, live music, food and craft, fireworks and more. We have been pleased with the amount of local community charities and groups partaking in this years event with over 20 of them having a presence in the parade and park, plus many of a our emergency and rescue services will also be exhibiting. As always the Carnival remains a free entry event and we strive to make this an enjoyable weekend for all the community.

Programmes will be on sale in local outlets and from carnival committee members from the 1st July at the cost of £1.00. The programme gives a full schedule of events and all the information you will need for the weekend.

You can follow us on Facebook or visit our website www.hornseacarnival.org for more details.

We wish you a fun filled enjoyable Carnival 2018 and look forward to seeing you all there.
